| Union Pacific Railroad Harriman Dispatch Center Omaha, Nebraska
|
.
The Harriman project involved the renovation of the shell of the historical Union Pacific Freight House into a national dispatch center with state-of-the-art technology to control the entire 23,000 mile Union Pacific Railroad system. The control center is a hardened building within the building and can sustain even the worst direct impacts from Mother Nature. Tim Holland worked on this project with another firm prior to founding Holland Basham Architects. The project was so successful that Holland Basham Architects has been retained to provide full design services for 400,000 s.f. of space within buildings throughout Omaha, including the Woodmen Tower and the Landmark Center.
