The offices of Holland Basham Architects are located in the renovated Beth El Synagogue in Omaha.  The adaptive reuse of this existing building for the new HBA office shows our committment to understanding the impact we as architects have on our society.

While the building did need major renovation, attempts were made to not only keep the integrity of the history of the building but to also re-use what was salvageable.  Wood from the pews was used to fashion capitals at the top of columns, pendant light fixtures were kept, existing doors and frames were simply painted, handrails were re-used, and many items were stored for use in future projects.
