Hastings College’s newest student housing consists of four, three - story resident buildings.  Each building, open to juniors attending Hastings College, houses 12 four bedroom units for a total of 192 beds.  Each unit has two full bathrooms, living/dining rooms, a kitchen and an exterior balcony or patio.  Every building has a laundry facility and resident mail boxes located on the first floor.  Security features include card access, phone entry system and multiple interior and exterior cameras, all integrated with campus security.  In addition, a partial basement is a dedicated storm shelter for the four buildings’ residents with room to shelter residents of 4 additional buildings. Construction was expedited by utilizing a component framing technique that allowed walls to be precisely manufactured off site, delivered and erected on site.  The exterior material is brick and was designed to fit in with the style of the historic buildings on campus.
