Eye Surgeons Associates
Bettendorf, Iowa

Eye Surgeons Associates outgrew their facility in Davenport, Iowa and decided to build a new outpatient ophthalmology clinic in the Eastern Iowa Quad City area. Holland Basham Architects designed a new 17,854 s.f. facility in Bettendorf, Iowa to meet their expanding needs.

The facility includes exam, testing and procedure rooms, as well as expanded waiting and dilation rooms and a play room for children. The clinic accommodates seven physicians simultaneously. The facility is organized on each side of a main circulation spine to provide better “wayfinding” for patients and a more efficient work flow for staff. This space is accentuated by a continuous clerestory window creating a tall space flooded by natural light. The new optical shop, which is integrated with the main waiting room, provides better public access to that service and the optical staff.
