Holland Basham Architects has provided all phases of architectural services for numerous projects with scopes directly related to the intricacies and unique program of academic facilities.  We have experience with all types of academic settings from the elementary school to the university campus, at both public and private institutions.

Our knowledge in working with academic institutions has convinced us that the challenges they face are very unique.  We understand the relationship between facility managers, administration, curriculum specialists, the academic departments and the need for immediate and direct communication among all the players.  The projects need to be highly functional and efficient so that precious development dollars have a maximum impact.  Likewise, we understand the nature of students and have developed a "torture tested tough" and "life cycle cost" philosophy in the selection of materials used in any facility.

In addition, we understand the implication of construction schedules on academic facilities. Typically, academic projects are undertaken during school recesses to avoid the inherent scheduling conflicts with students, faculty, and staff.
