The C & A Industries office building is a joint effort between Holland Basham Architects and Gensler of Denver, Colorado. This 121,969 s.f. structure stands as an “icon” on a major traffic corridor in Omaha and makes a statement for this rapidly expanding company. The 5-story building has a 38 stall parking garage below the first level of the building as well as 456 surface stalls. The exterior of the building attracts attention with a gently curving glass curtain wall enclosure that spans over 75 percent of the building and is constructed of 3,300 pieces of glass. Other features of the building include stone imported from India and colored concrete in the front entry of the building and a pre-manufactured mechanical rooftop unit comprised of 14 separate sections that was assembled on site.
