Holland Basham Architects and HKS of Dallas, Texas were retained by Alegent Health to provide architectural services for improvements to five hospitals in the Alegent Health system. The improvements are part of Alegent Health's Generation Patient prototype for healthcare and include:

  • $107.2 million at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha for new Family Life and cancer centers, expanded medical and surgical facilities and upgraded and modernized patient rooms.

  • $83.1 million at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha for new rehabilitation and residential treatment centers, upgraded and modernized patient rooms, an expanded cancer center, and an expanded emergency room.

  • $52 million at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha for additional medical and surgical beds and expanded surgical, ICU and Neonatal Intensive Care departments.

  • $42 million at Midlands Hospital in Papillion, Nebraska for new clinical laboratory, expanded emergency, ICU and diagnostic imaging departments and a new medical office building.

  • $27 million at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa for the addition and renovation of the ICU, an expanded surgical area, additional surface parking, and mechanical and electrical system upgrades.
