The 4940 Building is an office building that is part of a new 30-acre development in northwest Omaha called Roanoke Business Park.  The building will sit upon a 1.2-acre site and will be occupied by a local mechanical and electrical engineering firm.  Design for the 15,000 s.f. building will follow requirements listed under the LEED Gold category and will incorporate environmentally friendly concepts and products such as features to encourage alternative transportation, a minimum of 10% recycled content and regional materials, selection of materials to improve indoor air quality by minimizing harmful VOCs, geothermal heat pumps, a wind turbine, several water efficiency applications, a daylight dimming system, concrete paving,  and a white roof to reduce the heat island effect.
