The Charles E. Lakin YMCA is on its way! Groundbreaking for this long-anticipated facility took place with Council Bluffs dignitaries, YMCA leaders and members of the community in attendance. Len Romano, President and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Omaha welcomed spectators and shared his excitement for this project that has been years in the making. YMCA youth from all ages helped turn the dirt at the future site of the building. Construction will be completed in 2017.

HBA is currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated architect to serve as a Project Manager on our team. Ideal candidates should have their professional degree in Architecture and 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in all phases of project management, from schematic design to construction documentation and administration. AutoCAD and REVIT skills are essential to this position. The Project Manager must also possess strong leadership, decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a good work ethic.
HBA is also currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic design and/or production architect with 1-5 years of experience in architecture design, contract documents and specifications relating to a wide variety of project types and sizes. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and posses good communication, decision-making and customer service skills.
